How does Social Work Employment Services differ from other Umbrella companies?
Social Work Employment Services is the UK’s only not-for-profit social work umbrella company with any surplus made being invested back into the member services of its partner organisation – the British Association of Social Workers.
This means our members are the most reliable, qualified and compliant workforce who have guaranteed insurance cover and access to training and development.
What is BASW membership?
The British Association of Social Workers is a membership organisation that provides a ‘Code of Ethics’ for professional social workers.
Members have access to a full range of membership services including full liability insurance, advice and representation services, networking, training and career development opportunities.
How do your costs compare to other Umbrella companies?
Social Work Employment Services is highly competitive and offers one of the lowest fees available - Just £15 per week, £20 per fortnight or £40 per month.

Will we know if an agency worker has a live case before employment?
This will depend on an agencies employment contract. Due to confidentiality, only the agency worker will be able to confirm details of an open case. However, non-disclosure if requested will result in a breach of Social Work Employment Services’ agency worker contract.
