About Us

A group of women who are also social workers sat around a table discussing the benefits of the services like the social work employment service.

A professional, trusted and ethical umbrella company.

Social Work Employment Services was created to support both independent social work professionals and employment agencies with HMRC compliant payroll and employment services.

We're an audited and accredited member of Professional Passport, and provide PAYE, and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) to meet off-payroll regulations (IR35).

Our rates are competitive, starting at just £15 per week. You can use our umbrella calculator to work out the net pay you could be taking home if you join SWES. Any surplus we make is reinvested into BASW and their services for members.

British Association of Social Workers (BASW)

To use our umbrella company, you must be a member of BASW, which is a separate membership with a separate weekly membership fee, but this also gives you access to a range of member benefits.

Any surplus that we make is donated back to BASW to invest in their advice, representation and membership services.

Flexr employment services

We work closely with Flexr, - the easy-to-use employment management platform - to help you manage pay slips, leave entitlement and access to 24/7 employment support.

Their services are all available to you on a simple and intuitive app, on your desktop or via their call centre. With Flexr you'll have 24/7 access to view payslips, timesheets, and manage your assignments all in one place.
